Irene Cameron and Matthew Keating both started dancing Argentine Tango in Ann Arbor and combine over 25 years of tango experience to offer practical and playful instruction. Their teaching blends diverse movement backgrounds with creativity, helping dancers build deep connections with themselves and others.

Matthew Keating

Matthew Keating began dancing Tango in 2011 at UofM’s Michigan Argentine Tango Club. Matthew’s unique approach to teaching, blends his social dance experience with other dance styles like bachata, contact improv, & zouk, contemporary dance like Gaga Technique, strength & conditioning principles, yogic breathwork, mindfulness, and play to create a learning space that is both supportive and challenging.

Known for her passion for connection and expression, Irene guides her students through the depth and nuance of tango, empowering both leaders and followers to express themselves fully and contribute uniquely to the dance.
